Kombucha Scoby
We actually didn’t try home brewed Kombucha for quite a while, but once we did, it became quite popular in our house. Most people are familiar with this drink so I won’t go into detail, except to compare it with our similar drink, Jun in the event you’re trying to decide between the two products. Here is how they compare:
Kombucha is made with black tea and sugar and Jun is made with green tea and raw honey.
Kombucha takes 7-ish days to ferment while Jun takes 2-3 days to ferment.
Finished Kombucha has an alcohol content of around .5% while finished Jun has an alcohol content of 2%.
You will receive a sufficient piece of scoby (our scobys are kept in large vessels and are far larger than necessary for normal use) and a cup of starter tea.
